<p>The history of the Boyauderie des Savoie began in Vieugy en Haute-Savoie. Auguste and Claudette Semillé took over a company that traded in casings for local butchers and charcuterie makers. At that time the casings were still selected in the abattoir.</p>

The history of the Boyauderie des Savoie began in Vieugy en Haute-Savoie. Auguste and Claudette Semillé took over a company that traded in casings for local butchers and charcuterie makers. At that time the casings were still selected in the abattoir.

<p>Francis and his sister Catherine joined the Boyauderie des Savoie to work with their parents. In 1988, the business grew and transferred to a new site on the Sacconges Road in Seynod, where it still operates today.</p>

<p>Auguste and Francis commissioned the construction of a new production workshop and took on staff to handle the selection process (degreasing, calibration) in order to meet the growing demand for custom-made casings. Auguste retired at the age of 60 and his son Francis became head of the company.</p>

<p>Francis Semillé passed the company to his son-in-law, Christophe Caen.</p>

Francis Semillé passed the company to his son-in-law, Christophe Caen.

<p>Christophe Caen acquired the Boyauderie Panier in Montagny in the Rhône. He offers the opportunity to enlarge his client portfolio with the local preserving companies, butchers and charcuterie makers.</p>

<p>The Boyauderie des Savoie and the Boyauderie Panier were acquired by the Solexia Group whose principal activity is in the agro-food sector.</p>
