des Savoie et panier
1966
The history of the Boyauderie des Savoie began in Vieugy en Haute-Savoie. Auguste and Claudette Semillé took over a company that traded in casings for local butchers and charcuterie makers. At that time the casings were still selected in the abattoir.
1980
Francis and his sister Catherine joined the Boyauderie des Savoie to work with their parents. In 1988, the business grew and transferred to a new site on the Sacconges Road in Seynod, where it still operates today.
1995
Auguste and Francis commissioned the construction of a new production workshop and took on staff to handle the selection process (degreasing, calibration) in order to meet the growing demand for custom-made casings. Auguste retired at the age of 60 and his son Francis became head of the company.
2016
The Boyauderie des Savoie developed a network of exclusive partners in Europe, North Africa, and elsewhere around the world.
2020
Francis Semillé passed the company to his son-in-law, Christophe Caen.
2022
Christophe Caen acquired the Boyauderie Panier in Montagny in the Rhône. He offers the opportunity to enlarge his client portfolio with the local preserving companies, butchers and charcuterie makers.
2024
The Boyauderie des Savoie and the Boyauderie Panier were acquired by the Solexia Group whose principal activity is in the agro-food sector.
2025
The Boyauderie des Savoie absorbed the activity of the Boyauderie Panier, regrouping operations and personnel onto the single site at Seynod.
